Uniform

The Marcellin College uniform is an important badge of our identity. It is to be worn neatly and
correctly at all times in order to signal to the community that Marcellin College students are well
disciplined and proud of their school and that the highest standards of dress and grooming are
instilled in them.

STANDARD ITEMS

YEAR 7 -10 BOYS
Blue shirt with College crest on collar
Marcellin grey shorts
Scarlet jersey
Plain black leather, lace-up shoes and two pairs of grey socks with red stripes
Plain brown sandals without socks may be worn in Terms One and Four, except in
laboratories and technology workshops

YEAR 7 -10 GIRLS
Blue blouse with College crest on collar
Red-blue plaid skirt
Scarlet jersey
Plain black leather, lace-up shoes with either white ankle socks or black coloured
pantihose
Plain brown sandals without socks may be worn in Terms One and Four, except in
laboratories and technology workshops

YEAR 11-13 BOYS
Blue shirt with College crest on collar
Navy trousers, with navy ankle socks
Navy dress shorts may be worn in Terms One and Four, with white ankle socks
when shoes are worn
Bottle green Marcellin jersey
Plain black leather, lace-up shoes
Plain brown sandals without socks may be worn with the optional dress shorts in
Terms One and Four, except in laboratories and technology workshops

YEAR 11-13 GIRLS
Blue blouse with College crest on collar
Navy skirt
Navy trousers
Bottle green Marcellin jersey
Plain black leather, lace-up shoes with either white ankle socks or black coloured
pantihose

PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNIFORM
Non-marking shoes
Regulation navy and red polo shirt and navy shorts for Junior and Middle School pupils

OPTIONAL ITEMS
Marcellin Jacket (jacket available from school only)
Marcellin cap
Marcellin scarf
Year 13 boys may choose to wear an approved white shirt provided the school
tie is worn with it
Year 13 girls may choose to wear the long navy skirt provided the approved
white blouse and the school tie are worn with it

UNIFORM STOCKIST
The College Uniform is available from Postie Fashions at 198-202 Onehunga Mall, Onehunga. Second-hand uniforms are available through the Parents Association.

GROOMING
Make-up and nail polish are not permitted.
Hair should be clean and off the face. If it extends below the collar it should be tied back.
One pair of ear studs worn in the lobes and a watch are the only jewellery permitted.

SAFETY MATTERS
Long hair must always be tied back in laboratories and workshops. Open-toed footwear
must not be worn in laboratories and workshops.
