News from the International Department
Our International students continue to flourish, not only in school but in the “outside world” too…..
Recently we were visited by two Korean girls who attended Marcellin College nine years ago! Over the years they have kept in touch with us by email and returned recently, for a holiday in New Zealand. It was wonderful to see them both. They had returned to Korea after completing University studies here in Auckland. One of the girls went on to do her Masters Degree in Korea and is now writing Text Books for Learners of English Language in Korea! They re-met some of their teachers here at Marcellin and had lunch with one of the staff members at her home . Another staff member took them to a West Coast Beach on the weekend…. A former staff member took them both out to lunch at a French Café.
Yet another Korean student, has completed her Masters Degree. She too keeps in contact with some staff members by email. She has gone on to become fluent in Japanese having studied it at Marcellin College.
One of our Taiwanese students is back in New Zealand now doing a Business Degree having had two years away from her studies .She was with us in 2010. She came to visit us with her friend from China who also was here in 2010. Her friend will complete her degree this year from Auckland University.
The Marcellin community is very small and special.
We love hearing from students from earlier years and we especially love to see them.
